The Nigeria phone market has presently been swallowed up by a new and fast growing set of phones known as the android phone.We already know that you can use your phone as a modem to browse on your pc but what many don't know is that it is not just your nokia phone that can be used to browse on your pc,you could also use your blackberry,android,ipad,and iphone as a modem and browse on your pc.Today marks the beginning of a tutorial deries on how to make this devices your modem rather than spending to subscribe them and your modem.Today we will start with how to use your android phone as a modem on your pc;
Steps:
1) Open the android market on your phone e.g www.play.google.com,search for an app called pdanet, download it and install it on your android phone.
2) Visit www.junefabrics.com on your pc e.g a laptop,and download junefabrics the sister app of your pdanet.Install this junefabric on your pc.
3) On your android device tap the menu key>select settings>select applications>development.Now check the box that says Usb debugging>When the alert box appears click on ok.
4) Plug your android using a usb to your pc.
5) Run the pdanet app on your device and select and enable usb tether option.The app will confirm you have downloaded and installed its sister app on your pc called junefabrics.
6) After verifying the connection the app will tell you that it is running as a background app on your device.
7) Now on the system tray,you will see the pdanet icon (it is a rectangular box that has a phone look alike).
8) Right-click it and select connect from the pop-up menu that appears.
9) The pdanet pc program (junefabric) should pop-up a connection confirmation and a desktop notification should appear informing you that the pdanet modem is up and running.
10) You can now surf the net using your android as a modem.
